Description
Mobil Spartan EP 150 is an ISO Viscosity Grade (VG) 150 industrial extreme pressure gear lubricant, commonly used in splash or circulating systems. The high quality mineral oils it is formulated with help to increase oil service life by reducing sludge formation, and it also protects against wear and has high load carrying ability due to the sulphur / phosphorus extreme pressure additive system. This high quality oil also provides superior protection against corrosion of steel and copper containing alloys, as well as resisting foaming. Spartan EP 150 has good water handling properties so that water rapidly separates from the oil for easy water elimination. Spartan EP 150 is a good choice for splash or circulating systems, but can be used wherever industrial gear oil is required. Spartan EP 150 can also lubricate heavily loaded enclosed gear sets including spur, helical and bevel designs and provide protection in applications where shock loading occurs. It may also be used in worm gears where specified. It may also be used for lubrication of plain bearings, and in rolling contact (anti-friction) bearings.
